From the dark and dank lab of DJT's mind, Comes the monster he can't now leave behind.
The deal with the devil has a price to pay.
Good morning everyone:
I know I'm not the first person who thinks that Trump's latest would-be assassin may be a plant, a malleable person, motivated by pro-Trump forces to create sympathy for Trump and outrage against anti-Trump messaging. It’s not a stretch to jump to think that provoking ineffective "lone wolf" attacks on him as part of a grand, Putin-like plan to destabilize America. But I'll also say that, while I can be quick to think that this kind of "theater" is bogus, I have to remind myself that innocents have died in this fantasy of staged deadly "theatrics." No. It is not fake to shoot a high powered rifle at a human target and to kill innocents with a missed attempt at that target. And it is not likely that a man who staked out a vantage point near one of Trump's favorite golf courses, risking his own life in some quixotic attempt to rid the world of Trump, would do so if he did not really intend to carry out his manic mission.
The terrible irony of all this is that it is Trump himself who has stoked, courted, encouraged violence in the political arena. It is Trump himself who has brought "weaponizing" his supporters to a frothy hate against the "vermin" who refuse to support him. It is Trump who has cried wolf enough to bring the wolves out to do what they perceive is an "acceptable" act to accomplish their aims (sadly, a pun intended).
Be careful lest ye reap what ye sow, Donald. And you have sewn violence with every moment of your strut on the political stage. And once this beast has been fed and preened, groomed for action, there is no telling who shall be targeted by your creation.
The sad, terrible truth of all this, Donald, is that YOU have created this monster and now the monster has slipped the chains of your laboratory, escaped to act without your control. Can you call him back, Donald? Can you call him back?
My brother and I have been talking about this last "assassination attempt" being a set-up. Planted to draw more attention and sympathy to inflate Trump's failing campaign. If it was any other politician, you would never consider such a stupid ploy!
So true, Gerry. It’s hard to consider where this behavior is going as it worsens-yet we can’t unsee him.
